Neve Insular (NI) was born from the utopia of projecting ancestral knowledge of Cape Verdean bakery into a holistic project that integrates the agroecological, educational and artistic dimensions throughout the cotton fiber cycle.

In 2018, the NI collective (Rita Rainho and Vanessa Monteiro) took part in the Created in Cape Verde Salon promoted by the National Center for Art, Crafts and Design (CNAD), starting an organic cotton plantation in Madeiral, on the island of São Vicente, Cape Verde, in partnership with the Calhau and Madeiral Agricultural Association (AAPCM).
                      
Today, with the rhythm of island cultivation, we are experiencing a new time: the time of nature, of being and creating.
