MAPS AND GUIDE TO SOLIDARITY AND SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

Tourism and Solidarity Economy Guide for São Vicente, Tourist Maps for the promotion of 4 Tourism and Solidarity Economy Routes (RoTES), the 7 Ecological Pedestrian Routes (PEPs) and 3 Underwater Trails of São Vicente created within the framework of the Project "Network for the Promotion of Solidarity and Inclusive Tourism, Sustainable Development and Territorial Enhancement on the Island of São Vicente".

In the Routes, each map includes the general outline of the 4 existing Routes. Then there is a drawing of the route in question on a map of the island and a zoomed-in view of the area where it is located. It is in this zoom that it is possible to identify various key points of interest for participating in community experiences and the appropriate useful contacts. This map also notes the intersections with routes and trails. On the back of the map, there are highlight photographs of each point that interrelate with the textual content. The colour gradation within each locality group, as well as the diagrammatic language and infographics, articulate more complex information.

In the case of the Routes and Trails, altimetry and depth profiles have been added, respectively, while maintaining all the identity and composition described above. Each map cover features a postcard with a photograph of the Route, Path or Trail in question.

Finally, the Guide synthesises all the visual identity of the maps that appear throughout the historical and travel narrative, in a storyline typical of a guidebook. Photographs feature prominently, generously occupying the pages, and the guide's tabs are dedicated to each route, path and trail, taking the form of diptych panels with panoramic photographs of the context of the section that begins.
