FIOS - CAPE VERDE'S TAPESTRY

"It is up to each one this task, love, disclose, encourage the creators of dreams" is the quote of Luísa Queirós that can be read on the back wall, when entering the homonymous Gallery.

The insular tapestry is a mark in Cape Verdean creation. It is determinant in the CNAD collection, expressed by three generations, the founder of CNA (National Center of Crafts), the generation of its students, and the younger generation.

The work developed was marked by a creation of wooden structures whose design bears reminiscences of the traditional loom of the islands, which mark three spaces / three generations of artisans and artists; meanwhile, the color blue determines the connections between the works of several generations.
